Though this isn’t necessarily an official ranking by any stretch of the imagination, it’s worth noting that Bill Oakley is the founder of the Steamed Hams Society, and takes these rankings quite seriously every single year.

Sixth Annual Steamie Awards: Just last week, it was revealed to Oakley’s Instagram followers that McDonald’s limited edition Mambo Sauce has secured first place in the New Fast Food Item category, absolutely obliterating the competition.

McDonald’s Mambo Sauce: It’s hard to believe that the now-discontinued McDonald’s condiment dominated the Steamie circuit. But if you’ve had the pleasure of dipping a McNugget into tangy, spicy, and vinegary tomato based sauce, you’d have trouble arguing with the results.

Wendy’s Loaded Nacho Cheeseburger: Coming in second place to McDonald’s is Wendy’s with their Loaded Nacho Cheeseburger. And based on the picture alone, we can’t argue with its runner-up status.

Arby’s King’s Hawaiian Sweet Heat Beef ‘n Briskit Sandwich: Arby’s was also a worthy contender with their King’s Hawaiian Sweet Heat Beef ‘n Briskit Sandwich. The iconic purveyors of all the meats clinched the second runner-up position for unleashing such an ambitious marvel of unwholesome gastronomy upon us.

Bill Oakley And The Simpsons: And if you’re questioning either Judge John Hodgman’s or Bill Oakley’s authority on the matter, we strongly suggest you try to locate a packet of the McDonald’s sauce and give it a taste for yourself.

Other Steamie Award Categories: Other Steamie categories include Disappointment of the Year, Pickle of the Year, Dip or Spread of the Year, and Condiment of the Year. Bill Oakley’s Instagram account also contains extensive coverage of the McDonald’s corporate headquarters in Chicago.
